Genetic Health Guarantee We the breeders are offering a Genetic Health Guarantee on all of our puppies sold, up to one year old. The guarantee is as follows... We are not responsible for accidents or neglect of your puppy resulting in a lot of vet bills and possibly death. We guarantee our pups to be free from serious puppy illnesses due to vaccinating our pups, for example Parvovirus, Distemper, Type 2-Coronavirus, Adenovirus, and Parainfluenza for a period of one month. This is only for one month because your puppy should visit the vet for a booster shot protecting them of all of these illnesses within the first month of new ownership. (This covers pups under 16 weeks old only.) We guarantee our pups to be free from genetic illnesses for one (1) year including liver, heart, and kidney disease. If your pup is diagnosed with any of these genetic illnesses, you will receive a replacement pup in the same color and sex as soon as one is available. If transportation was involved you the buyer will be responsible for transportation expenses again. This guarantee does not state that your pup will always be healthy, but that it will be genetically healthy. All of these problems require written proof from a licensed veterinarian and will be examined by our (the breeder's) veterinarian before we will consider any further action. In the unfortunate instance that your puppy dies from said illness, an autopsy is required to show that the cause was of genetic origin before replacement is considered. You must also show proof that the said pup has had sufficient health exams with a licensed vet, and be Up to Date on all shots, including Rabies. If the Genetic disorder or disease is curable by medicine or surgery, a replacement pup is not always an option, in this case please contact us and discuss options. We the breeders are not responsible for ANY vet bills. The only exception being if your autopsy shows genetic origin is at fault, we will assist in the cost of the autopsy in the amount of 30%. This guarantee does not cover your puppy's hips, even though it is a hereditary problem. It only assures that your puppy was produced from two parents with OFA Certified or OFA Prelim Certified Hips. There is no guarantee that any Labrador puppy will be free of hip dysplasia. It is a common labrador trait and even with two parents with excellent hips, they will still produce up to 4% puppies with some form of hip dysplasia; EXCELLENT to GOOD breedings will produce 8-10% with some form of hip dysplasia; GOOD to GOOD breedings will produce 18% with some form of hip dysplasia, and the percentages just continue to climb as the ratings drop to FAIR, MILD, and MODERATE. We are ensuring that we will only produce pups from parents with OFA CERTIFIED or OFA PRELIMINARY CERTIFIED Hips. This Guarantee is only valid if you feed your puppy a 4 to 6 star organic dog food. If you need a replacement pup due to genetics, we require proof that your pup was fed one of these products to ensure a healthy nutritional diet. Please plan to save your receipts. For more info regarding dog food and reviews please visit the www.dogfoodanalysis.com website. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO CARE FOR YOUR PUP AT ANYTIME IN HIS OR HER LIFE, PLEASE RETURN THE PUP TO US, WE WILL NOT ASK ANY QUESTIONS.
Puppies in general are a lot like having a new baby. They need a lot of attention, love, and guidance. They can be your best friend and companion, but can also be destructive at times, when they are bored or wanting attention. Puppies are very cute and irresistible, but are a decision no one should take lightly. Labradors are expected to live with a family for 12-17 years. If you are not ready to take on this much responsibility, then you may want to rethink getting a puppy.
De-Worming Schedule: Puppies will be given wormer at the following ages... 3 weeks 5 weeks 7 weeks If puppies are still here after 8 weeks of age they will be wormed every two weeks following 8 weeks of age. Please plan to bring a stool sample to your first Vet Visit for a parasite test. This is inexpensive and will help to determine whether your pup has a parasite or not. If he or she does, you may need a specific medication or wormer to treat the parasite. Puppies have worms when they are born, and will almost definitely have worms either when you get them, or at some point within the first 6 months of their life. Puppies can have a negative parasitic test on the day you bring them for a stool sample, but 2 days later it could be positive. Their immune systems are so low, that they are susceptible to the parasite. It is very important to continue preventative treatment for at least 6-12 months. There are a lot of different ways to treat and prevent parasites, please check with your vet to decide what is best for you and your pet. Vaccination Schedule: Shots will be administered at 6 weeks of age and if pup is here past 8 weeks old, they will have booster shots every 3 weeks until the age of 12 weeks, and a final booster at 16 weeks, or until the date the pup is sold which ever comes first. Pups need to be re-vaccinated every 3-4 weeks until 16 weeks old. Please set this up with your vet as soon as possible. Veterinarian Visit: Pups will visit our local vet for a physical between 6 and 8 weeks of age or within a week of going to a new home. During this visit our licensed vet will check ears, eyes, mouth, belly, legs, and genitalia to be sure all is normal and healthy. Pups Come With: Each pup sold will go to it's new home with a bag of food; a toy or blanket with siblings' and our scent on it; AKC paperwork; a packet full of information about your new puppy; and a health record, and the AKC Trovan Microchip with Prepaid Lifetime Registration.
****Non-Refundable Deposits: A Non-Refundable Deposit, means that you would like to reserve one of our pups. This will also give you a pick of the pups. For example, if you place the 3rd deposit on a black female you will be able to have the 3rd pick of the black females in that litter. If there is not a 3rd female in the said litter than your deposit will be transferred to another litter, if there are not enough females but there are extra males, you will have the option of switching the sex. **THE ONLY EXCEPTION...If you place a deposit on one of our pups, prior to the pups being born, you can be refunded your deposit until the birth of the pup. After the pups are born there will NOT be a refund. Please be sure you are ready for a new addition prior to placing a deposit, it could save you a lot of money, the breeder a lot of time, the puppy a good home, and everyone a lot of trouble.
What to expect from time of deposit until pup goes to their new home If you decide to place a deposit on one of our pups, these steps will follow: Labrador Puppies can be seen as early as 3 weeks old, and will need to be picked between 5 and 6 weeks old, all puppy buyers will receive a date to pick their pup, if they cannot pick their pup by the date asked of them, they will lose their place and the next in line will get their pick. All buyers will receive their date at least 1 week prior to the date of picking, so that they will have time to plan. Picks can be made in person or through photos, with info about each pup's personality. Pups will have dew claws removed between 2 and 5 days old. Puppies will all be microchipped with AKC Trovan Microchips at 5 weeks old, this is not optional, there will be an additional $40 for this added to the cost of the puppy. Between 6 and 7 weeks old the puppies are vaccinated with their first puppy shot. Between 7 and 8 weeks the pups are vet checked and cleared for any obvious health related issues. Puppy's will be wormed with Nemex 2 at 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 or 8 weeks of age. This does not guarantee that the pup will be free of parasites, but it gives them a good start. If all goes well, the pups will be ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age.
