There are certain ingredients that our pets should not eat. They are....
By-products … after the choice cuts of meat are used for human consumption, the remains such as bones, intestines, heads, feet, tendons, ligaments and
other unsavory body parts are known as by-products. By-products can also include road kill, dog tags, collars, anything found on a dead animal including
syringes from puppy mills and fighting rings. By-products are generally inferior sources of protein and can be difficult to digest, which means less nutrition
and more clean up.
Grains … soy, corn, corn gluten and wheat gluten are often used as protein sources; however, they are generally inferior and difficult to digest.
Chemical Preservatives & Artificial Colors … can be very harmful to pets. Artificial colors are also linked to health problems.
Freshness … many large manufacturers make pet food in tremendous batches that can last for a very long time, so you may be feeding food that is six months
to a year old, maybe even older!

Daily Feeding Guidelines for CANIDAE All Life Stage Formula
Dog Weight Puppies Adult Light/Senior
(to 6 mos. old) (with exercise)
2-10 lbs. 1/2-1 1/2 cups 1/2-3/4 cup 1/4-1/2 cup
10-25 lbs. 1 1/2 - 2 cups 3/4-1 cup 1/2-3/4 cup
25-50 lbs. 2-4 cups 1-2 cups 1/2-1 cup
50-75 lbs. 4-5 cups 2-3 cups 1-1 1/2 cups
75-100 5-6 cups 3-4 cups 1- 1/2-3 cups
Puppies up to 6 months old may be fed 3 to 4 times daily. Puppies six months to a year may be fed twice daily.
Feed Pregnant Dogs up to 50% more during the last 3 weeks of pregnancy. Nursing mothers require twice the amount of food as suggested in the daily guidelines and may
be fed 3 to 4 times a day.
The above Daily Feeding Guidelines are a good starting point on the amount of food suggested to be fed on a daily basis. If you feed more than once per day, simply divide
the Daily Feeding Guidelines by the amount of times fed per day.
